Przyciąganie 

                    Co za brzydota? W sztuce może być coś dobrze zrobione albo źle, nic więcej. Van Gogh namaluje panu stary nocnik tak, że tylko klękać. Tymczasem partacz z najpiękniejszej kobiety zrobi kicz. O co chodzi? Żeby to człowieka trochę wybebeszyło. Odblask świata, utrwalone przemijanie, katharsis i kropka.

Stanisław Lem, Szpital Przemienienia

Ten intrygujący tytuł wprost nawiązuje do twórczości wspaniałego pisarza i myśliciela Stanisława Lema. Na wystawie w przestrzeni Słodowni w poznańskim Browarze, artyści prezentują fascynujący dialog jaki słyszalny jest między off-line zacisza pracowni, a on-line zgiełku info-rzeczywistości.

Prezentowanie malarstwa w tak zapędzonym świecie, malarstwa bogatego w wysmakowaną gramatykę formalnych pasaży, stanowi rodzaj antidotum. Obraz i jego pojemność stanowi sumę zebranych w nim elementów. Nie jest to tylko prostackie poszukiwanie poklasku. Jest pogłębionym zapisem procesu twórczego, zbioru przemyśleń artystów, którzy tworzą tu i teraz. Bardzo interesujące jest to, co dzieje się na styku sztuk. Wieloelementowe instalacje budują złożoną polifonię. To, co wyobrażone, dostrzeżone w pozornie dwuwymiarowym płótnie, konfrontuje się ze zmaterializowanym kształtem przestrzennych kreacji.

Współcześnie rozumiana  grawitacja, to wynik obecności materii i energii, które zakrzywiają tkankę otaczającej je przestrzeni i czasu. To splątanie pozwala nam żyć, funkcjonować i postrzegać rzeczywistość w na pozór ustabilizowany sposób. 

Na wystawie Przyciąganie odbiorcy będą mieli możliwość dostrzeżenia świata widzianego przez pryzmat wielkich kreacji, mnogości stylistyk oraz kunsztu, który niejednokrotnie przekracza powszechne postrzeganie świata. Wykracza poza rozumienie perspektywy, poszukuję nowej formy wypowiedzi. Jednym z fundamentalnych elementów wystawy jest narracja i sposoby jej reprezentacji. 

Zastanowić się możemy, czy artyści poprzez tę analizę i wręcz uporczywe poszukiwanie możliwości dyskusji chcą nam zwrócić uwagi na moc i siłę jaka skrywana jest w słuchaniu. We wsłuchaniu się, w dialogu – bo to właśnie on stanowi piękny klucz do rozumienia relacji jakie zachodzą pomiędzy prezentowanymi pracami.  

Dzieła zebrane na wystawie magnetyzują złożonością formalną, za której zasłoną dostrzec możemy wrażliwość wybitnych osobowości. Profesorów prezentujących różne języki artykulacji artystycznej, ale również przyjaciół Uniwersytetu Artystycznego im. Magdaleny Abakanowicz w Poznaniu.

Attraction

                   ‘What is hideousness, after all? In art something can be well or poorly done, no more. Van Gogh paints a couple of chamberpots and feel like falling to your knees in awe, while some amateur makes the most beautiful woman like trite. What does it all come down to, anyway? The flash of the world, Glory, catharsis, that’s all.’

Stanisław Lem, Hospital of the Transfiguration 

This intriguing title directly refers to the work of the great writer and thinker Stanisław Lem. At the exhibition in Słodownia [Malt House] in Poznań’s Old Brewery [Stary Browar], artists present a fascinating dialogue that can be heard between the off-line retreat of their art studios and the on-line hustle and bustle of info-reality.

Displaying paintings, which are rich in a tasteful grammar of formal passages, in this fast-paced world is a kind of antidote. A painting and its capacity are the sum of the elements gathered in it. It is not just a vulgar search for applause. It is an in-depth record of a creative process, a collection of reflections by the artists who create here and now. What happens where the arts meet is very interesting. Multiple-element installations build a complex polyphony. What is imagined and perceived in the apparently two-dimensional canvas is confronted with the materialised shape of spatial creations.

Gravity understood in contemporary terms is the result of the presence of matter and energy that bend the tissue of the surrounding space and time. This entanglement allows us to live, function and perceive reality in a seemingly stabilised way.

At the exhibition entitled ‘Attraction’, viewers will have the opportunity to see the world seen through the prism of great creations, a multitude of styles and craftsmanship, which often exceeds the common perception of the world. It goes beyond understanding the perspective and looks for a new form of expression. The narrative and the methods of its representation are among the fundamental elements of this exhibition.

We can consider whether the artists, through this analysis and their persistent search for discussion opportunities, want to draw our attention to the power and strength hidden in listening and dialogue, which are the beautiful keys to understanding the relations that occur between the displayed works.

The works collected at the exhibition magnetise with their formal complexity, behind which we can see the sensitivity of outstanding personalities: professors showing various languages ​​of artistic articulation and also friends of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań.
