Miki KOBAYASHI, violin
In 2006, she was awarded with “Special Jury Prize” from Gidon Kremer at the 6 th Leopold Mozart International Violin Competition. And she caught a great attention and popularity as a violinist after she won the 2nd Prize in traditional Wieniawski International Violin Competition in October 2011, which is held every 5 years in Poland since 1935.
She played with the prestigious Orchestras in Japan such as NHK Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, and also collaborated with Maxim Vengerov and major Orchestras in Poland.
In 2016 spring, she engaged as a soloist at the Toyota Master Players Wien, her performance with Volkhard Steude, a concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, received highly critical acclaim. She held recitals at Kioi-Hall, Oji-Hall and various cities, and also very active as a Chamber musician at Miyazaki International Music Festival and Kamakura Art Center Solisten. In 2014, she was awarded “24 th Idemitsu Music Award”. She released 3 Recordings including “Special Disc” and “Recommend Disc” by “Record Geijutsu” Magazine.
She graduated Toho High School of Music in 2009 and entered the soloist diploma course at Toho Gakuen College as an honor student. Since October 2010, she studied under Pavel Vernikov at Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität by the scholarship from the Meiji Yasuda Quality of Life. She studied violin with Tsugio Tokunaga and Pavel Vernikov, chamber music with Tokyo Quartet, Hakuro Mori and Ko Iwasaki.
